Thousand Word Thursday - I Want to Clean

To clarify, I never want to clean.....but Little Bit really wants to clean. Good luck with getting that to stick! While I am on the phone she sees the opportunity to grab the spray bottle and rag (and taunts me a bit).....
and runs out the door.

I find her at her Little People table pretending to clean. She must have watched me (and is obviously a very quick learner because she doesn't see me do this often).

Getting her cleaning groove on.

And a bad hair day.

Thousand Word Thursday

I had my husband take this picture for my baking blog header. I got the aprons at an "Aprons for Africa" party. I couldn't resist getting 4 :)

Thousand Word Thursday - Mimi's first day

Little Bit is so sad that both of her sisters are back to school. Mommy just doesn't entertain like they do.

Thousand Word - Beach Fun

We spent the week at the beach; one more last hurrah before school starts up. We had a wonderful time. Hope you get some R&R before your year starts.

Despite having watched "Shark Week" the previous week, Bigs was not afraid to play in the water. She loves getting beat up by the waves and throwing jelly fish back into the water (yes, real jelly fish, no they were not poisonous).

Mimi enjoying the sand and water. She has a fantastic imagination and can play for hours.

Can you believe I forgot to bring Little Bit's bathing suits to the beach?? Luckily, Mimi had one that was slightly too small for her....but still a bit big on Little Bit. She had the most wonderful time digging in the sand and chasing sea birds.

Scarlett is Walking!

Cheaper Than Therapy holds A Thousand Word Thursday each week. Go visit to check out other pictures! Michelle over at Psalm 104:24 hosts Three Things This Thursday. I like to do them together. Randomness and pictures.

1. The girls are fighting like nobody's business. It started on the trip up north and has continued to a point where I would just like summer to be over to get a little peace and quiet. Easy for me to say....I don't have anything to go back to. SOOOO...instead of screaming like a mad women telling them to stop screaming at each other, I have implemented "banishment" (some call it time out but I would like to think that my kids are too old for that). Emma in the nursery (Scarlett still refuses to use her crib - at least the nursery should get used for something) and Lexi in the bathroom (we do have little stools in there so she doesn't have to sit on the potty). I am done giving warnings. I am done listening to even a little bit of bickering, name calling, biting, or rock throwing (yes, this morning Lexi was just about to launch a rock at her sister). Say a little prayer. If this doesn't work I might find myself locking myself in my own bathroom. For the rest of the summer.

2. Scarlett learned how to walk while we were in MN! It is completely because of the grass. She played in the grass a ton everyday and was walking before we knew it. She doesn't wear shoes so that would be a problem down here. FL Grass = Yuck! If you are from Florida you know that our grass is not worthy of walking in barefooted. If you are from the north please thank God each day for the soft, plush grass that you can actually lie down or walk in without fear of being attacked by a fire ant. Seriously. That junk hurts.

3. Whenever I come back from MN I am all inspired to garden. There's something about the short span of time you have without snow that makes everyone want to grow things. The flowers in everyone's yards are so nice. By much trial and error I have found that gardening down here is best done in the fall and winter. So this week it's my goal to get all of my seedlings started. I plan to do tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, eggplant, swiss chard, and spinach. My dad gave me a bunch of flower seeds that I want to get planted as well. I also need to replace all of my herbs that perished while we were gone.

Three Random Things and Thousand Word Thursday

1. When it rains, it pours. I have easy weeks and I have really, really busy weeks. There doesn't seem to be a happy medium. This one is crazy. It's the last week of school for both girls. There are ceremonies, parties, and special event days. Mimi is also having her birthday party on Saturday. She won a karate party during one of the events at the karate studio so we are having her school friends attend. Going with the karate theme I did these cookies for party favors. I am also making a similar cake. Should be a fun time!

2. Last week Mimi had water day at school. My husband brought her flowers that day and was told that Mimi not only had her tankini top on inside out but her bottoms were on crooked and her stuff was hanging out. Nice, mom. Maybe I shouldn't have let her dress herself. The sad part was that after she had dressed in her suit that morning, I put sunscreen on her and didn't notice her disheveled suit. I need to be less focused on the task at hand and begin seeing more of the big picture. Luckily she is too young to care. This is the girl who goes to school almost every day with her shoes on the wrong feet.

3. I can't wait for school to be out. I will miss the girl's teachers dearly but will be glad to have laid back summer days. My husband is a teacher so we really have fun summers. We are leaving for an almost month long trip to Minnesota next week. My posts may be few and far between. Enjoy the rest of your week!

Thousand Word Thursday

This short week really has me out of sorts. My computer has been acting funny and Mr. Linky (for me with the cheapy membership) is still not working. Not sure if we'll be able to use it for tomorrow's Kid Friendly Friday. I still have not gotten to look at the posts from last Friday because I was out of town for the weekend. I can't even get it together enough today to think of three random things with Michelle over at Psalm 104:24

The endless rainy days (thank you!) must be making this little guy happy. I picked up the plants a few years ago from FreeCycle and finally one has potential!! Isn't he adorable??

3 Thing and Thousand Word Thursday

Cheaper Than Therapy holds A Thousand Word Thursday each week. Go visit to check out other pictures! Michelle over at Psalm 104:24 hosts Three Things This Thursday. I like to do them together. Randomness and pictures.

1. Weather Radios: How many people do these actually help...and how many people are like me? On Tuesday our weather radio went off numerous times throughout the night giving me a possible heart attack each time. I know the thing has volume control but quiet is not an option. Each time I frantically dove to the radio pressing every button I could to make it stop (picture you and your alarm clock in college). Only one time during the night did I look at the display and read TORNADO. I told my husband that there is a tornado warning (he cannot recall this). And we both went back to sleep in a matter of seconds. So when I woke up and see this.... "A possible tornado ripped the roofs off several homes late Tuesday in (THE CITY I LIVE) and sent a tree crashing into a house near (ANOTHER CITY) as a system of severe storms continued across the peninsula, officials confirmed early today." I am wondering the merits of this device. Even though I ignore it I won't unplug it. But I honestly cannot believe a weather radio because tornadoes and other natural disasters are things that happen to other people. I know, wait until I find out this is not always true. And besides, we don't have basements so there isn't a great place to go if one did hit. So do you listen to your weather radio?

2. Summer TV: I have never been a huge TV watcher (except sports) until the birth of my third baby. She isn't a crib sleeper. She is a "I won't sleep in anything but Mommy's arms" sleeper. You don't have to tell me how that might affect her later on....I've heard it all. Most evenings she falls asleep around 8...and I can either go to bed or do something that requires no movement whatsoever. I have watched more TV in the last 10 months since my college days (you are getting a glimpse of my laid back college experience today). I am now hooked on 24, How I Met Your Mother, Biggest Loser, 90210 (ahem, college BH 90210 junkie - the whole sorority would watch it before bar time), and America's Next Top Model. I have always watched football and baseball but this year I have even watched lots of Magic games (Woo Hoo). I am, however, excited that they have all had their season finales and I am free to watch, or not watch, whatever I want. I know, I am free when they are in season as well...but come on.

3. Pictures!!! Lemon teether, SO BIG, Get me out of this thing!

Thousand Word Thursday - Spring Break~!

In honor of Spring Break next week. This is the first time we took Bigs to the beach....and as new parents forgot that she would want beach toys. All we could find in the truck for her to play with were a softball and a Slurpee cup. Can you say ghetto? Of course she didn't care :)

Thousand Word - Best of Friends

My wish for today is that they will grow up loving each other unconditionally and delight in each other's lives. That they are strong when the others need it and they are carried by the other two when they need it themselves. I pray that they grow together spiritually and encourage each other. That they will be best friends. Sisters. How much fun!

A Thousand Word Thursday - Fish Bowl

Has to be another recent Little Bit picture as my computer still is in the shop and I have limited pictures on this one. I just love it when she looks in her fish bowl. As of late, she has been putting her whole head at the opening to see what she can get out. So cute!! Don't you just love those shoes? All three girls wore them and they still look brand new. I just put them in the too small pile. It goes by too quickly!
